Cath Hodsman

Cath Hodsman combines her love of horticulture, British flora and fauna and a strong belief in the preservation and protection of our indigenous plants and animals, and also the local Cotswold culture and heritage, with her equally strong passion for art.

Like many of us, Cath is concerned with the fragile state of much of our wildlife, such as the plight of the honey bee. She uses her art to promote all things in British nature that we should cherish and seek to protect. She also often uses the beauty of the Cotswolds to help capture this idea.

Cath works mainly in watercolours, acrylic and pencil. She has painted and sketched for many years. She studied art to "A" level standard, but went onto pursue her career as a European Officer, in the university sector, as well as raising her family. She now pursues her passion on a full time basis and sells work through Tetbury Art Society and other local venues, as well as on the internet and through recommendations. In addition to the natural world, Cath does portrait sketches and accepts commissions.
